Analysis of deformation, temperature, load and resistivity our Institute (selection):
At our institute we mainly deal with NiTi, CuAlNi and CuZnAl shape memory alloys (see also crystallography) with different cross-sections. The following figures show a small selection of curves obtained in experiments:
The above figure demonstrates the deformation-temperature-behaviour of a NiTiCu-strip for different constant loads. An increasing load leads to higher transition temperatures. This figure shows the temperature-sensitive resistance at different loads for the above mentioned specimen.
This image indicates the load-deformation-behaviour of a NiTi wire for different temperatures. With increasing temperature the lattice structure of the alloy changes and therefore a different load-deformation-behaviour emerges.
